Margot is a beautiful 7 1/2 months old female foxhound. Margot was saved from a vet clinic at the age of 2 months when she was brought in to be euthanized because the other puppies in her litter had parvovirus. She was tested and found to be parvo negative. She is a healthy girl.

Along with her beauty, she is an exuberant puppy with lots of love and energy. Margot is house broken and crate trained. She gets along extremely well with other dogs and cats. Margots favourite activities are to play, play and play. She will do well in a very active household and would be an ideal running mate. Given her hound pedigree, it’s recommended that she does not go off leash as her nose may take over.

Margot really enjoys the company of her humans and as such she does not like being alone. She can become vocal when she perceives she is alone and for this reason we suggest that he forever home be in a house where her songs of loneliness do jot bother the neighbours. We are currently working on building her tolerance for being crated for longer periods of time. We highly recommend that she is crated when she is alone to prevent her from getting into trouble.

She is a smart girl that loves to learn. She knows how to sit on command, shake a paw and sit pretty. Her forever family should continue working on her basic manners, especially not to jump up on people to give love and say hello. Margot is dominant and headstrong, she would be happiest in a home without young children. If you are looking for an active companion, Margot is the dog for you!
