Cherry

This beautiful girl is a Ragdoll mix that came to us all the way from Farnham, QB thanks to the volunteers at Freedom Drivers, One Last Chance Rescue and La Société Protectrice des Animaux des Cantons.

Cherry has a slipped disc in her back giving her limited mobility in her hind legs. Cherry has difficulties using a regular litter box and needs to be accommodated with a lower cardboard litter box she also may need a hand with cleaning herself due to her injury. We’re looking for a loving forever home who is prepared to open their hearts to this very loving and affectionate gal.

Cherry is currently being treated with steroids and pain medication in hopes that it’ll help improve her ability to walk. Since coming into or care, her congestion has cleared up and she is becoming more comfortable. Her back is still painful but her walking is slowly improving.

Cherry has been spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccines she is also good with other cats with a proper introduction.

We are ideally searching for a parent that is home most of the day to keep an eye on this sweetie. The ideal home would be no young infants. We are unsure if she’s good with dogs but she’s okay to live with other cats as long as there’s a proper introduction.

Due to her age and mobility issues, she is a compassionate placement, meaning her adoption fee will be waved.
