Pickles and Pepper are a sweet, bonded pair. Pickles tends to be more affectionate at first and quicker to warm up to people. Pepper needs a bit more time and may be hesitant at first, but as long as she is given space to explore and approach you on her own time, she becomes very attached.  You will often find them following you around and providing company. They both love pets and kisses (especially Pepper!). While they aren’t too crazy about being carried, they absolutely love to sit next to you and cuddle. Pickles is the more curious one and likes to climb up and hide on high surfaces, while Pepper tends to keep to the ground! They enjoy most cat toys, especially the cat wand. One moment they will be roughhousing with each other and the next moment they will be cuddling and sleeping next to each other (in true sibling fashion!).

They are both pretty quiet kitties but sometimes treat you to some sweet chirps and meows. Pickles and Pepper are a couple of adorable, funny kitties and will be a lovely, entertaining addition to your family!

The Avery Foundation is a foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. Every TAF rescue cat is vet checked, vaccinated, treated for parasites, spay/neutered, microchipped and receive any necessary additional medical care.

Our adoption process involves an application, reference check, interview, and home visit prior to placement. From the time we receive your application through the screening process adoptions can take a couple weeks. We thank everyone who takes the time to apply but only those who best fit the cat’s requirements will be contacted.
