Sloan is a great dog that listens very well. He is a sweet, young dog that gets very excited to see new people! Sloan has come to us from Quebec and is francophone! He is starting to understand certain English commands but his main understanding is in French.
Sloan has settled in wonderfully to his new foster home in an apartment. He is gentle with the little kitty that lives there and is always wanting to play. He doesn’t even growl or barked at her. Every night, Sloan and his kitty sis share the bed with their mom, one sleeps on her feet guarding the door protecting her, the other sleeps between them, occasionally instigating a game of tag.
Sloan has adopted his foster mom’s favorite stuffed animal and has made it his baby. Baby Simba walks around in Sloan’s mouth throughout the day and sleeps with him in the bed. He loves his natural dog treats and will actually pick up the bag and come to his foster mom to ask for one.
Sloan does have some separation anxiety if his foster mom leaves for work, but has gotten a lot better than when he first arrived. He is still young and so excited to see people, so he does tend to jump and pull on the leash, but we are working on that. Sloan is a very smart, interesting, quirky funny dog. He gives you something to laugh about every day.
Sloan will be available for adoption once he has been to the vet.
