Meadow is a shy yet very playful and curious three-year-old tabby. At first Meadow was very shy. She prefers for someone to sit and wait for her to approach. She will rub her face on as many things as possible. Once she accepts pets, she prefers head pets and rubbing her face on someone’s hands. With time and patience, she will hop up onto a surface like a bed or couch and meow for pets and attention then cuddle and sometimes even fall asleep on a person. She is startled by sudden movements and is very hesitant to be approached by a person. She is learning to accept treats from a hand but for now will accept treats in her bowl. She absolutely loves to play with squishy, spongy balls that bounce slightly. She is happy to play by herself but appreciates it if someone throws a ball down some stairs or a hallway. She also very much enjoys her tower of balls and ball racetrack. When Meadow is not playing, she is very quiet and will spend hours napping on the cat tree or in front of a window. She gets along with other cats and would be fine by herself or with feline siblings. She does not like to be restrained, picked up, or held. She does not like having her claws clipped and must be burritoed. She does like to be brushed with a comb and is very clean and soft. She needs multiple scratch posts and surfaces she can scratch. Meadow has lots of love to give and with time and more socialization she could become a great snuggly companion to people and other cats.

*Meadow is best suited to an adult-only home or a home with teen-aged children who have previous experience with cats. She will need a quiet and calm environment with adopters who are willing to continue her socialization.
